Not perfect. Some gamers might prefer additional features. The security minded will prefer greater firewall flexibility. The user interface is far from intuitive. I got a much better interface in a much less expensive Pepwave. Judging this router against the TP-Link's peers at Linksys, Asus, Netgear, et. al., this is a very good router at a very good price.

Very nice router as it should be for the price. Sets up quickly and has been working flawlessly so far. The user interface is top notch with lots of options and easy to understand. The wireless range has worked great throughout our house. Gaming wise, it is hard to judge what you get vs a lower cost router but it runs good and the 2nd 5G dedicated to game connects is nice. I just know I'm tired of my previous preferred brand of router (netg...something) kept failing on me so I thought I would try the TP-Link. One hint that this draws power to be more powerful is the plug to the outlet. Much more heavy duty adapter and wire gauge. Wish the router leds would provide more info other than a white light for connected, My prior router would display which lan was connected and at what speed. Lights on the antennas would have been cool to (I'm a light em up kinda guy).Read full review

This router is excellent. It has many features not found on most routers. For example, it has Bluetooth, so its very easy to config with the phone app. and TP-Link has a web gateway, so you can edit the configuration from anywhere. For radios, it has three, one 2.4Ghz radio and two 5Ghz radios. Signal is great everywhere. If you like, you can also enable a guest network, and you can allocate any number of radios to each network. Great signal, great speed, and fairly easy to configure and operate.

Great product. The game accelerator program is quite nice, I can prioritize my Xbox and PC so when my family is watching Netflix it doesn't disrupt my games. It also automatically forwarded the ports needed for my xbox without me having to go into the software and do it, something my old routers of the past didn't do. Was a little pricey but was still worth it if you do a lot of gaming and/or have a lot of devices connected like I do (60+ devices connected at any time) which is what most likely killed my old router (which only supported 20 devices XD).

One day and working great. We have had relatives move in temporarily and the old faithful Nighthawk 1700 dual band unit could not handle the increased connections and was dropping out frequently requiring rebset. The connect speed with the TP-Link is three times faster (~725Mbps) in same room and twice (500Mbps) as fast at other end of house. Has 12 channels, no drop outs yet. Set up easy for old duffer like me

It has 5 Radios, one 2.4 ghz, 5 ghz, 5 ghz for gaming, 2.4 guest and 5 ghz guest. Handle 50+ clients. I have a lot smart devices and they work great. Compared to "Evening Bird", it did not drop any my connections, no reboot needed so far. Evening bird was required reboot in 4 weeks after I load it with a lot of web cameras. I have not try the AX feature cause there is no AX usb adopter available yet. I added the TP-link usb adopter to my old laptop and got me 190MB down and 300MB up with this AX router. New laptop are AC at 300MB down and 500 MB up. I am looking forward to TP-Link's AX usb adopter. Awesome router with 12 streams, total 10GB for gaming and web.

Very fast speeds. No buffering or dropped connections. All you can want in a router. It's on the expensive side though if I had to gripe about anything. If it was around the two hundred mark I'd be quiet. I kind of like the UFO look lol. Pretty easily setup too.

I'm a WoW gamer (55+) with 2 computers on the ethernet with 5+ people on the wifi with giga blast from my provider. My S20 Ultra on wifi right by the the router had 450mbs. Out in the garage 50 ft away it had 80mbs through 8, 3/4in drywalls and down behind my SUV. On the ethernet, the computer room and garage, get 940mbs. I bought it for it's 1ms transfer rate to match the 1ms on my G7 32" monitor. Easy hook up with the quick installation guide, the same for the internet installation. I have it high on the computer desk, so I don't see it often, it does look cool with the installation of the antennas. The computer has a Ryzen 9, Gigabyte 2070 video card, 32" G7, 32 gigs of RAM and the cable line was replaced from the pole to inside.

From my Macbook, on the same floor as the TPLINK, but in a different room, I get about 200-300 Mbps more than I used to with my old network set up. Easy to set up and use with my tether app I already had set up with an extender. Connecting my back up disk for my Time Machine was easy to configure with a dedicated group of settings.
