Blues Review Magazine A Pleasantly Unexpected Treat Marco De Sade, a newer band hailing from the New York area, doesn't take long at all to warm up to. Hot bluesy guitar licks, confident vocals, and tasty grooves provide all that is needed for a smoking' good listen. It is heavily laced with electric blues, with a hint of southern rock sprinkled in, and all hell breaks loose when the entire band kicks in for full-on electrified funky jams. The band has a heck of a knack for picking songs to cover. The selections on this album are outstanding. Keeping close to the originals, but with a fresher sound, Trezza adds the icing on the cake with his signature harp playing - better than the originals. Most albums will have at least one or two tracks that I don't mind skipping over to get to the next song. A pleasantly unexpected treat, and I look forward to their next release.' Their in your face blues-rock sound is exactly what propels a great band into stardom. The band's latest project is chock full of great songs. The band rocks your socks off and the blues undertones really bring out the message in the song. The lead singer is great, and I couldn't stop listening to this one over and over again. A few of the great songs on this project include: 'High On The Hog', 'Marco's Freight Train', and 'I Get Evil'. Each of these songs has their own identity and really adds some fresh perspective to the album. BONUS TRACK: 'My Big V-Twin' is laced with some of the best guitar, drums and vocals, this song is all about hitting the open road on your Harley and letting the good times roll. The songwriting is great, the singing is stellar, and the band is kick-ass. This song will make you wanna jump on a hog and let it roar. Overall, The Marco de Sade Band really is one of the best blues-rock bands not yet discovered. How can you not like a band who not only rock and rolls with the best of the best, but who also have founded a charity for kids? Their charity is called the "Brothers in Arms Charity", where the band helps raise money for the children of US Special Operations soldiers who are killed in the line of duty. REVIEW: 'The Marco de Sade Band's gig was a phenomenal experience: The band was tighter than bands that had played together much, much longer - and like a well-oiled and well put-together machine, when you turn it on - it just hums, and feels and sounds just right - like "My Big V-Twin!!!" There was a lot of excitement waiting for them to come on stage. Knowing the caliber of the musicians, everyone came expecting to party, and truer words were never spoken - these guys are Rock Warriors! In terms of professionalism, this was like a military operation - they had a well-thought out plan, they were well-organized, they had the right equipment, were locked and loaded, everyone was briefed, knew their roles and responsibilities, and executed the plan to the letter - mission accomplished. They rocked the house, they hopped and popped - and did what they came to do! There was not a single moment where there was a spiritual, musical, or energy letdown. Marco and the band made this an almost religious experience - they rocked the house - not knocked the house - but ROCKED the house. As a critic and a musician, it's a wonderful thing to see a fellow musician 'channel' the greats and the masters - it is quite another thing to see a musician go beyond to speak forthrightly, and clearly, in his own voice. Marco took it beyond and was speaking clearly, strongly, and powerfully in his own voice that night - he was, as always, his own man. To use a coach's expression, "He left it ALL on the stage!" This gig was high energy rock, funk, and power blues - there was no jokin' -
