  • Needed New Drive - S.M.A.R.T Errors

I installed the drive about a month ago and have had no problem with the drive. It does not make any strange noises and seems to be running at the right speed. The only real issue concerned restoring the backup image. I was replacing a 500 gigabit drive with a 100 gigabit drive (1 terabit). Once I restored the 500 gb backup image onto the 1 terabit drive I had an extra 500 gigabits unuseable. So what I did was to create another disk partition on the drive and named it the E: drive which I use for large file storage. This whole paragraph is for non tech folk who might have or may replace one drive with a larger drive.
