    Moore strikes again

Actually, this film had no surprises for those of us that have dealt with medical insurance companies and have a true understanding of how bad America's health care system truly is. To those members of the public who are unenlightened the film reveals just how bad capitalism can be when applied to the nation's health. The profit motive works to deny appropriate health care to millions of people with health insurance and (this film was made before Obamacare was enacted) allowed insurance companies to deny coverage to millions more. This film should have been played around the clock on all networks during the struggle to pass Obamacare. The USA spends more per capita on health care than any other advanced country and has one of the worst stats on the actual health of its people. While ...

  • The Status of American Medicine?

We get the feeling sometimes, that Americans busy as they are, do not have time to look into Health Care. Michael Moore reveals that the US has been surpassed by most of the world in making affordable health care available to most or everyone. He notes in passing that the folks in healthcare are obsessed with greed, and so they are as illustrated by a group of Americans who could not get treatment even after serving in 9/11 Rescue work. By a strange and laughable humor, Moore takes these maltreated heros to Cuba where they get some love and treatment free of charge. Moore compares the USA medical care with Canada, France and Cuba. And we get a good feel of how the US treats its own citizenry, there is no need for statistics. The message of what needs to be done is not that complicated ...

  • SICKO

While I can't support Michael Moore on every issue, his movie "Sicko" is absolute truth expressed in a most concise, poetic way. Everyone should view this movie- especially people opposed to Universal Health Care..

  • An Eye-Opener

This documentary was amusing at times, but the information Mr. Moore brings to light is sobering indeed. Lack of affordable healthcare is no laughing matter when people are seriously or terminally ill. The United States was once the most powerful nation on the planet, but we've been sleeping while other nations have been engineering and enacting policies which makes theirs a healther and more cohesive society. Don't rely on the sickcare system, folks, or you will be disappointed. Alternately, we could all move to France and eat, drink and be merry--and healthy.
