    Essential Accessory for Heavier Carts and Headshells on 1200 Tonearms.

    The cartridge and headshell combo I use is a little on the heavy side and that will unfortunately place my counterweight at the back of the tonearm stub, not making full contact. The way to solve the problem is to get one of these aux weights that screw into the back of the arm. This allowed me to bring the counterweight closer to the pivot, which provides more stable tracking on warps and other types of record anomalies. I have not noticed any negative impact on the sound either. Great accessory.
