      One of the funniest sitcoms ever.

      One of the funniest sit coms ever. Larry David (Seinfeld co-creator) is a big fan of Phil Silvers and uses some of the gags from the 1950's shows in his Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm shows. I was watching these episodes on YouTube, but [YouTube] would pull them down for copyright infringement. Tired of playing whack-a-mole with YouTube, I decided to buy the programs on DVD and watch when I wanted. The quality of the item is excellent. Good packaging and each disc is laser marked with its Season / Episodes.

      This is a great tv show - a classic, one of the best by the incredible Nat Hiken, who also did Car 54. It’s the role that Phil Silvers was born to play, with a supporting cast that’s talented and brilliantly funny.

      One of the best that is still funny today

      If you like Steve Martin in Bilko watch the original that got him started in comedy. I had problems with 2 disks but its from the manufacture. The folks I bought it for are wonderful. Fast service and well packed I would buy from them again and again. If you love to laugh get this set it will entertain you for hours and hours.

      Funnier than 94.7% of today's shows.

      Two reasons why this show is a classic for me, the first is the extremely fast pace of the comedy itself. I understand that a lot of what we see in the series is adlib humor on the part of Phil silvers. The other is the psychological mind games that the Sgt. Bilko character plays to get his way with the other characters. very cunning and head and shoulders above most sitcoms. Also, realistic portrayal of black soldiers .

      Older show, but a clasic.

      If you like military humour, then this is a show for you. Con Man Sgt Bilko tries to con everyone of their money at all coast, but it never quiet goes as planned. The dvd's arrived at my house quicker then advertised and exalent condition. I love the show and use it as a default for when nothing else intresting is on tv.
