    Craftsman USA CMMT86002 Ratchet Wrench

    90 tooth Quick Release ratchet. The short lived modern Craftsman USA made tools out of the already closed Texas SBD plant. When I did my teardown of this ratchet I found, overall it has a solid design. But there were a few details which could of been improved upon. One was it looks to have missed an important feature when in design and production, it doesn't have any seals to keep out dirt and contaminants. The second issue is that the spring directly rubs along the bottom of the pawl cradle. Which could of been improved on by simply adding a ball bearing between the spring and the cradle. These were just two observations I noted which imo would make this ratchet alittle more durable while adding very little production cost. There were never any 1/2" or 3/4" counterparts made.
