Life of the Akha ethnic minority
It is a very well written book. I could not put it down. When you read this book, you learn a lot about the rituals and superstitions of the Akha people. You will see the life of this ethnic minority from the point of view of an Akha, and from the point of view of an outsider. You will understand both. I also like how Lisa See explores the different aspects of mother-daughter love. In this book, there are plenty of situations, where the relationship between mother and daughter are depicted in different ways. Excellent book!
