  • goodbye goodbye my love goodbye

Mary Hopkin and her music appeared like a magical mist upon the land during a time when so much high energy rock and roll was coming out of it's cocoon and with the help of Sir Paul we have a chance to covet her work in a sweeping example of her singing ability and her preference for folk tradition. This particular collection not only provides some nostalgia for those idealistic times when she sang like a lark from the wood but creates an ambience when it is played that is uplifting in a romantic way. I take long hot baths not only to stay clean but to sooth my soul and when I do I listen to cds of my favorite music. I listen to this one routinely.

  • mary hopkins-paul mccartney produced album

A fantastic album by a then little know mary hopkins, paul mccartney produced it and chose the songs. But she has a brilliant voice and the second album was even better. Highly recommended.

  • Amazing. Really.

First off, buying this CD is in no way "simply a nostalgia trip" it is a full-blown musical experience and it sounds amazingly sharp, clear, and crisp. Do pick it up and be prepared to enjoy every minute of it!
