A must have for August door locks
This keypad is a must have if you own an August door lock. In the event of a WiFi failure or power outage, you can still get in without your keys. It's also nice when the August door fails to auto-unlock when I get home. I also really like the "one touch lock" feature, so I can lock my door as I leave the house. I give it 4/5 because once every week or so it takes 15-30 seconds for the keypad to communicate with the lock.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Hard to program
I spent roughly 4 hours trying to get codes to work. It pairs to lock, but obviously when you enter new codes, there is a grace period for keypad and lock to sync. After 15 minutes, it recognize the code if you just let it sync. If you buy keypad, be very patient when pairing and coding for each user a personal code. Unreliable, poor quality
Battery life is only a couple months and already one of the buttons is not working. The battery contacts corrode very quickly, and in my case the unit is NOT exposed to the weather!! Battery life on the lock itself is just as bad.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
