Philips 8240XL : Great Cordless Shaver
The Philips Norelco 8240XL cordless shaver is an excellent electric shaver. I’ve had one for over 15 years since it first came out and highly recommend it. Also any Philips shaver made in the Netherlands tends to be higher quality, longer lasting and more durable than the less expensive models made in other countries. This Norelco Is Still The Best!
This is my second Norelco 8240XL shaver in more than 10 years. It's a shame that these were discontinued years ago as this "old style" Norelco is far superior to the newer models which have floating triple heads. I tried one of those and returned it immediately as it did not begin to compare to the comfort and shave closeness that this older model provides. Back to the best!
Great shaver. I had one of these that stopped working so I bought a new Norelco. There was no comparison between this older model with the HQ9 three blade shaver heads and the new models with one row of blades. I can get the same closeness with this razor that I can get with a traditional manual razor but in half the time and without skin irritation.
