Pi evolution at a price
With the Pi 5, Raspberry Pi are very much verging on the territory of mini-PC when it comes to pricing, I happily picked up a second hand unit on Ebay, but would hesitate if buying at full price.
You should also note the Pi 5 has increased power requirements, now needing 5V @ 5A through the USB-C power input. You should check your existing power supplies, PoE splitters and the like to ensure you have enough juice to run one.
The rest of the story is good news. Considerably faster CPU, PCIe (this is a game changer), dedicated fan socket, dedicated PoE connection points, faster USB, faster MicroSD and a dedicated power button! There's a lot of commentary online about keeping it cool, bearing in mind it doesn't throttle until 85 degrees, a passive cooling solution is sufficient for all bar the harshest workloads.
