Doesn't Like Recordable Media
I have an extensive collection of recordable media in PAL format. This player doesn't like a lot of them. Jumping, skipping, freezing, etc. The DVD's are well cared for and some are right out of the burner. Just what I needed.
I bought a dvd on line and it was one that was hard to find - so when it comes it doesn't play. I got to looking at the disc and it looks more like a computer disc than a dvd. Oh no, I bought a foreign made dvd - I knew there was a chance (you see them on ebay) but they didn't tell me that when I bought it. So I needed this player. I asked via email if there was a certain button you have to push for different areas. I don't remember ever getting an answer but it came so I loaded the disc. All I had to do was flip it and try it both ways beings it was blank looking on both sides and you don't know which side is up. I put it in, it played - wonderful.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Cheap DVD player
The unit is a little noisy. But the worst part is the remote and dvd do not work well together. You have to be close to the dvd player and press the command multiple times. Almost better to manually select. If I had to do over, I would buy the named brand for a few bucks more.

Can't beat it for $24 the image is great. It's small and light weight. The only thing I don't like is the red light on it stays on whether you turn it on or off so you don't know it's on until you start watching something. Same thing you don't know it's off until you check your screen but for $24 I can live with that. Was real surprised on how well it works for the money.
