Great 1st sewing machine.
Perfect for a novice like myself, but it is not a toy, and that's a good. Does pretty much every thing I need it to do, from making and repairing backpacking gear, making curtains, hemming clothing, etc. For a serious seamstress, you'll want a better machine, that has all the bells and whistles, but this machine is a great way to introduce the novice to sewing. Plenty of stitch options and easy to use. You will spend more time sewing and less time fiddling with gadgets. Simple, efficient, and affordable.

Cute Little Lemon
I am SOOOO disappointed in the Singer Quick Fix as it is exactly what I wanted. However, it simply does NOT work! I took it to a to a sewing repair shop and the technician told me that the tension on the bobbin - which is set by the factory - is the reason it doesn't work. He said that it comes like that so there is nothing he can do to make it work. I nearly cried which is not a good look for a grown woman. I ask "WHY" would a respected company like Singer would put their respected name on a product that does not work. He said that he has seen 5 such machines & none of them worked. One more thing: This is the second Quick Fix that I bought and the self same thing happened w/it as well. Since it had been "used" but appeared to be like new, I thought the problem was w/me. I am just so bummed because the Quick fix totally suited my needs AND I loved the concept of such a small, easily stored little machine! =(

Very light weight and easy to move around. Sews nicely for the cost. No skipped stitches. Has enough essential stitches for regular sewing and doing crafts. Foot pedal could be a little larger.
