  • Avoid this film.

I am a huge Philip K. Dick reader and fan for 40 years. One of my goals is to find and read his entire repertoire. I don't like negative reviews but this warrants. First--the screenplay was written by someone else and it is terrible. I won't tell about about the plot--just know that PKD would have barfed if he read this and barfed again as he saw it. This is trash. I don't need to even address acting or directing etc. The "plot" is so bad that my son, who is even a bigger fan than I walked out. I would resell this but I don't want to inflict this on anyone else. If you are a fan, you will hate this. It is garbage. I am going to destroy this copy as it qualifies as one of the worst films made.

  • Philip K. Dick predicts the Fascist reign of D. Trump, in 1976.

From my own opinion, this movie is well worth watching, (if while you are watching it, you have in your mind, that this is actually about our present day administration, with Trump). It is really pretty scary, in that vein. P.K.D. had a known habit of predicting various events in the future. An example of this would be: "The Minority Report", with Tom Cruise, made in 2002, by Steven Spielberg, from a short story, he wrote in 1956. All the events that take place in this movie, are now becoming factual in a city in China, pop. 4 million. They are now tracking people and their movements in real time, through facial recognition etc...and can, how one says: "back-track", up to the previous week, and thus be able to know when a certain "suspect" is about to commit a crime, before it actually happens. They give the Orwellian term of: "pre-crime", to this form of digital activity on their citizens. I heard about this shocking news, on: BBC radio, about a week before Christmas, 2017. One will truly appreciate this movie even more if one has read: VALIS, (1981), or the book "Radio Free Albemuth", published 1985, after P.K.D passed away in 1982.

  • Bad movie

This movie was awful. P.K.D.s story may have been very good but none of it was translated into this waste of filmstock.
