The Uniden HomePatrol scanner comes with TrunkTracker IV (Motorola APCO 25 digital, Motorola, EDACS, LTR), and can be used in both, US and Canada. This Uniden receiver comes with a 3.5-inch LCD screen that shows the channel being tuned in. This HomePatrol receiver comes with the S.A.M.E. emergency/weather alert.

Great scanner
This scanner is great! Just read the manual or download the software first, then connect the scanner to the laptop and then power it on. Then follow the directions. You will download the frequencies and then be ready to go. If you dont do that you WILL get a failure message this is your fault not the scanner.

Setting Up
This was suppose to be very simple to set up. I had to take it to 4 different people before they figured out what to do. One person was a computer programmer. We had to lock out so many channels that we would like to get because the scanner is programmed where there are so many channels that you don't get to here other things. Such as Highway Patrol. If you want to here what's gong on it adds over 100 channels. We had to block that out. It's very difficult and I wish I had never bought it. Nancy
