NotesEYE TO THE TELESCOPE, KT Tunstall's, dazzling debut showcases her provocative sonic mesh of heartfelt pop, bona fide electric blues, and left field alt folk. Features the tracks "Black Horse And the Cherry Tree" and "Other Side of the World."
Eye to the Telescope extremely impressive debut from exceptionally talented singer/songwriter!
This is a fantastic debut album by an exceptionally talented singer and songwriter. Even the songs less well known for example "Through the Dark" have a deep soulfulness to them. My personal favorite is "Other Side of the World," a painful tale of the mental anguish of long distance relationships. But, her signature song "Black Horse and Cherry Tree" is what drew her international attention I suppose. This was is a very catchy song that came from a dream and certainly honours her bluesy roots. You will be hard pressed to turn this CD off until it finishes, non-stop great music from start to finish. I since have seen KT twice this year and what an experience it is to see her live. She talks over each song and is very candid and could get a side job as a comedienne. Not only that she is very kind to her fans with autographs, pictures etc!
