Adapted from William Goldman's novel, NO WAY TO TREAT A LADY is a darkly comic thriller detailing the the story of Christopher Gill (Rod Steiger), a Broadway producer whose troubled relationship with his mother has transformed him into a demented killer. Gill, a master of disguise, targets women throughout New York City, gaining entry into their homes and then strangling them. Now, it's up to Morris Brummel (George Segal)-- a Jewish police officer with mom problems of his own -- to track down Gill before he strikes again. And the maniac's next victim could be Kate Palmer (Lee Remick), Brummel's new girlfriend...

    Here is a different Steiger!

    Here is Steiger in a series of personages as he goes about his dastardly activity. As Jud Fry in Oklahoma, The Pawnbroker, Napoleon, and how many other characters? Underappreciated, he is for his variety of portrayals. Segal and Remick pull off their parts well.

    A 60's classic film

    A great thriller/comedy suspense film from 1968. Rod Steiger is brilliant as the psychopathic killer. George Segal and Lee Remick also bring in a fine performance. A fine enjoyable, entertaining movie.
