    It's called BLOOD MONKEY. With a title like that, I was going to watch it no matter what the reviews said. F. Murray Abraham plays an anthropology professor who is so obsessed with finding a new species of intelligent, bloodthirsty primate in the jungle that he is willing to sacrifice human lives to bring back a specimen --- dead or alive. Abraham is such a good actor that he manages to make this guy believable, if not exactly sympathetic. He points out to his terrified students --- quite logically --- that tracking these primates is no more dangerous than tracking any wild animal. But if you're tracking a wild animal with the intention of capturing or killing it, shouldn't you have tranquilizer guns? More than one lethal gun? Ropes? Cages?
