Unforgettable Story
We have "Movie Day" at one of our mountain homes here in Colorado. Last week we viewed this movie, and we were still talking about it at church on Sunday. If you are a mother, parent or not, this is one that you'll be holding your breath clear to the end. And we really appreciated that it has an ending, not leaving you hanging, all edited off, like so many films seem to be doing now. We did leave the word captions "on" the TV as some of the sound was a bit muffled in places, and the film could have used more lighting in many scenes. Boring film with no chemistry
I was looking forward to watching this film as the plot seemed engaging. I have not read the book, which hopefully was better. The copy of this DVD was supposedly for rental with no extra features. I must say that all of the beginning titles were written in a foreign language with strange characters and the subtitles were pitifully paraphrased by someone without much command of the English language. The sound quality was poor and the characters seemed to lack emotion as many of them mumbled in monotones (hence my need to employ the subtitles). There was no chemistry! The film seemed to last an eternity! A friend of mine saw it in the theater and fell asleep! To sum it up, I was very disappointed!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
