    DEH-x6800BT

    sounds good but is difficult to adjust for sound changes. I listen to the radio mostly and changing stations the sound drastically changes. Other units that i have are not nearly as sensitive to the differences and are much easier to adjust. during the day the illumination no matter the options I try seem to work well, at night or in dim light it looks great. one annoying feature is that to search radio stations if you press the search button you only go up .1 on the frequency. you have to press and hold for it to search. also the strongest station search only searches the FM1 or FM2 or FM3 not all together, so a you only get the top 6 stations not the top 18. inexpensive, looks good and sounds pretty good,

    Less than expected

    I am overall satisfied with the sound quality but the menu is quite complicated and memorizing your favorite station is a pain to figure it out, it's not just pressing on 1 and holding the button for 3 seconds but it's a hole process you have to go into the settings... Also the illumination is bad because of the contrast, it has a brightness control but no contrast control and at daytime you can't see anything on that screen especially if it's sunny! I bought it coz I wanted to give pioneer a try but I will switch back to my favorite SONY! They are the best!

    Very good Bluetooth unit...many great features.

    I bought this unit as an upgrade from my Pioneer 360BT and I like this one MUCH better. The sound is clean, and the controls are seamless....it pairs quickly with my phone and the sound quality over the phone is astounding. It also has a USB port in the front, as well as an auxilliary jack, which is quite handy. The controls take some getting used to, but it's largely intuitive. The color display can be mixed or made one color only. I haven't figured out the dimming for the display, but it's brightest setting is not distracting and the display board is superior. It's really a great value for the money. I'm going to buy a second unit for my other truck.
