Intelligent video server
Finds all the shows you like and recorded them even if they change channels, networks, time slots, and length. Records 2 shows. Find shows by key words like actor or directors. I Use pilot as a key word to load record new shows to see if I like them. Can be linked with other tivos local to share programming. Its job is to keep full of your favorite cabe programming as well as be able to watch programs from places like Netflix and Amazon and a lot more than that. I looked for this model because it is the last version that has two coaxial inputs for simultaneous antenna and cable inputs. Later versions have only one input which is in my opinion a severe downgrade in capability. The 1 TB hard disk is a great plus. The current Bolt series interface is a little nicer and faster than the this series but the deciding factor was being able to get my local TV channels. I had to delete a lot of data and watch lists which might have been easier if I had asked TIVO before investing a lot of time setting up channels.
