The packaging is have to say ok, and the platter arrived unscathed, but I always recommend double boxing and ceramic or glass platters, just for safety.the platter is beautiful and I already hung it in my family room.. the platter is as described. I saw a similar platter for more money and I will check Richard's eBay site for more treasures.
