No need to use the large plug
The cable is much better than the large plug an makes it easy to route the cable out of the way. I do wish the fuse was on the other end so that I could shorten the cable.

Hardwire to a fuse
Instead of the cigarette lighter you can hide the wire and run the wire under the dash to a fuse that only goes on when the ignition is turned on.I use this on 2 of my vehicle's and my brother's truck.

This is the perfect match for your Garmin GPS and motorcycle. It is fused so for any power surge that may occur you're protected. This cable has ample length to be wired in to any 12 volt hot area. then you can mount the end that goes into the Garmin where fit is best. Mine is on the handle bars in a out of the way weather area. You cant go wrong with a direct 12 volt, saving the battery on the Garmin for when you might be off the bike.This is the perfect match for your Garmin GPS and motorcycle.
