Good, affordable replacement drive
I repair computers in my business. Several times over the years, a customer brings in a laptop with a dying or dead hard drive. I buy a replacement like this one, install it, put Windows on it and get a working laptop for a lot less than a new laptop. I have done this three or four times in the past 4 years. This tells me that this make and model fail after 4-5 years of usage. Not great, but not too bad either. Cheap to replace but a pain (plus extra expense if you need to hire your local geek do it for you). Over all, a good drive. Seagate Momentus Ultra ST94019A
Seagate makes very good products. Although this drive is sensitive to shock, it can be damaged. If you drop your computer, expect it to be easily damaged. That is the reason I bought this drive to replace a damaged one. Not even Seatools could fix the bad drive.

Seagate Momentus Ultra ST94019A 40 GB
These drives are not long lasting. When they break, data is not easily recovered. I'd avoid this model drive. 40GB isn't much anyway. Get a Toshiba if you are replacing one of these. Much more reliable.
