Good quality and worked as advertised in removing stuck plug parts.

Three of my 8 plugs separated (with parts stuck in the head) in two different ways. The Lisle kit worked exactly as advertised in removing the stuck plug parts. Instructions were complete. Kit 65700 was complete; no additional special tools were needed. I never used E82 fuel (thought to be an aggravating factor in stuck plugs). 152K miles on factory plugs; engine was not missing but power increased noticeably with new plugs. Copious quantities of carbon cutting spray was used on the 5 plugs removed without breaking (1/4-turn-spray/ another 1/4-turn-spray/ another 1/4-turn-spray/ and so on; may have helped?? After removing old plugs I removed spray solution from cylinders using compressed air; small air tube fished into plug hole for this blow out procedure.

  • Top critical review

    Worked on one plug

I had 1 bad plug..porcelain puller worked great as did the pusher...the problem I ran into is with the extractor tool....after only one plug removed part of the threads broke off..was going to do them all but I'm afraid the tip of the tool will break off...but my truck is up and running really good...just wish I could've done them all...the tool is very simple to use and I had the plug out and replaced in about 10 minutes....would have given 5 stars if not for the extractor tool...

  • An absolute must for Ford 3 valve engines!!!

I had 6 out of 8 spark plugs separate and stay in the cylinder head. Lisle Broken Plug Remover Kit (65700), was beyond awesome!!! It took about an hour for each plug to be removed, yet better than the alternative of removing the cylinder head. Make sure to use compressed air to blow away dirt before removing each spark plug, plenty of penetrating lubricant during removal, a vacuum with 3/8" plastic tube duct taped to an attachment (I was able to vacuum out each spark plug hole and get the tube into each cylinder to remove any debris that may have fallen into the cylinder. Proved invaluable as the last plug I removed lost part of the electrode ground metal into the cylinder and was able to hear the vacuum suck it out of the cylinder bore.), and plenty of patience!!! After the first plug ...

  • Amazing tool

This thing saved me thousands of dollars I replaced the factory 2 piece plugs in my 07 expedition 5 of 8 broke and stuck in the heads It was a lot of work to get them out but would have been impossible without this tool Absolutely make sure you buy the American made version as the cheap Chinese version will break off in your heads and then you’re definitely in for an expensive mechanic visit

  • spark plug removal tool

I should've read the Ford TSP before I tried this tool. Had I done so, maybe I wouldn't have had to fish out broken porcelain, out of 5 of the cylinders in my engine. Still, the tool did remove all the spark plug bases.
