This dog whistle is useless. It appears to be defective. You're supposed to unscrew the one end until you hear an audible tone, then tighten up the ring. Mine never gave off the so-called 'tone'. It completely unscrewed without making any sound. I bought it, thinking the Remington name would make a difference. It didn't. Piece of junk.

It's small and flimsy. and it does not really adjust to a silent setting. My dogs just ignore it. Also, you end up getting saliva on it when you use it. I feel it's better to upgrade to the new type of dog whistle, so I am trying out the Barx Buddy.

Please don't take my opinion seriously. I probably did not set the whistle correctly. Tried testing on dogs passing in front of my home. No response from dogs. I'll check Google for help.

I will say the quality could be better. It was fairly quiet the first day but now it’s easily heard. I don’t know why. Regardless, the reason I bought it was to train my dog to come to me and it works great. Just have to remember to treat your dog every time they do what you are commanding them.

I use to use one when I was training our shepherds, on a military base.
