I have a first generation iPod ( A1137) and will warn you that the battery is not an "exact fit". It's height is a little shorter and the width was a little too wide for me for the case. I decided to remove almost all of the insulation tape in order to make battery fit. Yes, I know I voided the warranty, but for the money, I didn't care. The Good - I was getting about four hours of play on the old battery and so far I am over a six hours and counting. After I made my slight modification, my I pod snapped back together easily. So, it's up to you, but it was well worth it to me.

The battery arrived on time and was the correct size and configuration. I purchased the battery because my iPod failed to hold a charge. I installed the battery and the device still failed to hold a charge. I plan to unsolder the battery and check the battery voltage and then reinstall it if the voltage is within specifications. I will update the review if the battery voltage is within specifications.
