I got this pedal because I needed a good one for the U2 songs that we are covering in a new band I am in. The Edge's delay sound is a crucial part of that early stuff and this pedal allows you to get the dotted eighth note delay sound by allowing you to tap the tempo in. There are bunch of other useful features. I really like it to for the recording and layering of music. I can record up to 40 seconds in the "hold" setting. This is a great practice tool and/or way to get down ideas, just make sure you record it - if you want to remember it later - with your phone or whatever software you may use as it will not store in the pedal once you turn it off. There are more expensive delay pedals out there that you can do more with but, for under $150 (I bought this used with very little use on Ebay) you can't beat this for a good entry-level delay pedal for your guitar rig.Read full review

Another great effects pedal from BOSS. The DD-7 is quite like a 'Swiss-Army-Knife' in the realm of compact delay pedals. Built with the standard of quality that BOSS is known for. The delay range is amazingly vast from 1ms to 6.4 seconds, plus a 40 second looper, as well as assorted delay types like modulation, analog and reverse. The pedal is quiet and is great for studio or stage. For a closer look check out the DD-7 manual online. Highly recommended!

Don't delay in getting into delay. This is one of the first and most iconic delay pedals but kept current and powerful. It also powers your other pedals with a daisy chain cable (must be purchased separately). Very useful and easy to understand and experiment with. You won't regret this purchase. Adds so much to guitar sound. A must have pedal.

I bought this to use in conjuction with my DD-3. The DD-3 is a great pedal which covers most standard guitar delay needs ( and back in the early 90's this was top of the line) I wanted more delay time and have for a while now. I saw this one had been out for a bit and I used a floor model in Guitar Center at the Oxnard, CA. location. Love the length of delay available, all the other features are out-standing like the reverse delay and the fact that the tap tempo can be used as an external footswitch. ( I got a great deal here on e bay, I got both for $100 + shipping --They are $170 at Guitar Center, and another $25 for the footswitch,-- or any other music place) I haven't had much time with the holidays to play with it and I just bought LYTs 32" pedal board so I could have room to mount it. The little I have done with it has made just smile, even my kids think this is the coolest sounding set up now. I haven't found a bad thing to say yet. I plan on using the DD-3 more as an added reverb and this to become my main delay pedal.Read full review
I bought this for a pedal board I put together for the church. This has everything you need to do modern worship. The tone is sweet. I bought a tap tempo pedal from Saturnworks here on ebay for less than $25 - this has the ability to maximize the pedals' potential. I have had the Nova and did not like it because it was too "sterile" for my tastes. I am old school and musical delay = Echoplex for me... but who can stand to work with the thing. If you do not have the money for the El Capistan or the Timeline then plant yourself here and be content...maybe even happy.
