Who knew I needed this adapter?
I never even thought about it until I had to stop at a truck stop for fuel for my VW diesel. The pump nozzle was huge and would not fit in my tank. I went to see an attendant and he gave me a funnel. That didn’t work very well so I moved on, the next station had a normal size nozzle. I have not had to use this yet and frankly I hope I don’t but am confident it will serve the purpose. If nothing else, it’s good insurance just to keep in the trunk. I would buy again.I never even thought about it until I had to stop at a truck stop for fuel for my VW diesel. Needed for fuel additive on Audi TDI
I wanted to add Liqui-Moly diesel fuel additive to my fuel tank, but had no way to get past the filler neck "door" that is within the filler neck of my 2013 Audi Q7 TDI. Voila! This device alllows you to open that door and add whatever fuel additive that you desire. Plus, if I ever get into the situation where I have a diesel fuel handle that is too big for my filler neck, I can pull this device out of the car and solve the problem right then and there. Works for BMW Diesels, Too
Needed for my BMW 535d to use with my own fuel tank hand pump as well as one station I go to all the time that has one pump nozzle out of spec and won't open the flapper. I used one of these on my 2013 VW TDI until VW bought it back and went to a BMW. Emergency Fueling Answer
You really need to keep this in your trunk - if your TDI has a"misfueling prevention device", a silver bow-tie shape in the filler opening, then it's the magic answer if you need to refuel from an older pump. Pump nozells less that 1" (25mm) in diameter are blocked from being inserted in the filler, to prevent you from putting a gasoline nozell into the filler.
