A perfect instrumental complement.
This very recent purchase was targeted for Skywatcher's SkyMax 180 Maksutov - simply to utilise the full range of the instruments light gathering capacity and its magnification potential (when used without this focal reducer). Great value for money; completely compatible with a wide range of Vixen LVW 2" eyepieces & the 10mm Baader Planetarium Hyperion 2" eyepiece; reduces focal length of the 180mm Maksutov f/15 to approx.f/9.45; giving crisp & unnecessary colour-free star images across the chosen eyepiece field of view; also works perfectly in conjunction with the William Optics Binoviewer, using Meade's Super Plossl eyepieces - 32mm & 26mm; WO's 20mm standard eyepieces and Vixen's 15mm NPLs. These combinations allow for lunar, planetary and deep sky visual observations to be routinely ...
