Have had the MX8 MK2 running for almost a month and can honestly say it does a far better job and actually cleans our pebblecrete pool including the waterline but it does have a few issues climbing our small 3x step entry at the shallow end. Spares are plentiful online which is why I went this way as opposed to a full $2000 plus robot machine. highly recommended product and seller AAA+++
