- i***2 (185)- Feedback left by buyer.More than a year agoVerified purchaseYou can make a passive cellphone repeater from 2 antennas, if you mount one antenna on each side of a 2 foot square piece of plywood after you've glued on some aluminum foil to one side. Connect the antenna outputs together with a SMA connector. Point one antenna toward the cell tower and the other toward where you make most of your calls. This passive approach increased the signal from one bar to two bars. If you need more gain connect a wide band RF amp between the antennas.
