Out of the box it booted right up in windows 8 and asked if I wanted to upgrade to windows 10. It did and I have zero issues, except the learning curve is still on but that's me, the tablet is excellent, responsive, really nice sharp screen display, sound is as good as one could expect from these tiny speakers. I can be short: no complaints!

Bought brand new it came with windows 8.1, will not let me upgrade to windows 10. Facebook app will not work on this. Have tried 5 times. If you are happy with windows 8 it is a great tablet.

For the price this little tablet is awesome. I use small 10" tablets as part of a product I make and have bought several used online. As such it has been very iffy on what I get to work with. I took a chance on this one and am very satisfied. The product I make (Kinect Paranormal SLS Camera) does not need a keyboard and running Windows 8.1 is acceptable. This Toshiba Encore 2, 10" tablet is very responsive and boots up quickly. I strongly encourage purchasing it if only for the low cost.

Last year I purchased my first tablet hoping it would be more space saving. I also hoped to replace my laptop. The tablet was a Nexus 7 I believe. After receiving the tablet and using it, the performance and it's abilities were so poor I soon took it back to the store for a refund. I thought I'd probably never get another tablet again. Last month I went on Ebay and saw this Toshiba Encore 2. It sounded too good to be true but I went ahead and bought the 10" as the 7" would have just been too small and most people would have to use an inconvenient stylus to navigate it.
