Good Ballanced Tool with a lot of power!
I'm a horn carver and I have used a lot of other brands of rotary tools. When I first used this tool ,I was Reluctant about the tool becouse it did'nt have the speed I was used to. But I got use to the tool & I like it very Much. The power of this tool is very smooth& it is very well balanced. the tool is a very good value.

Excellent rotary tool
Having had a Dremel that was noisy, with a motor that failed, I was looking for a more well built tool. This one is tight and runs much more smoothly throughout the speed range. It also comes with an assortment of collets to accommodate a variety of tool shank diameters up to 1/8".

Better than the competition
This is my third IBS/E. I also have a box full of Dre--els of various types. The Proxxon's are better, but not by much. You absolutely mustn't overload them - they are sensitive to attempting too much. If you send them in for factory repair, it will usually be cheaper to buy a new one. Nevertheless, there is a place for a small handheld rotary tool, and this is the best of that category. If you need torque or power, go to a flex-shaft tool.This is my third IBS/E. Very smooth/quiet running:
The germans got it right on this one. is a little bulkier/heavier than the dremmel brand tools i have had in the past, but running @ 20,000 rpm this tool is very quiet and has a good feel to it. It seem to be less prone to "chattering" than other rotary tools i have used and runs cooler. A bit more expensive than most other brands, but the quality seems to be well worth the higher cost point. Do not know about service life as of yet, but i will give it a workout that is for sure. I use foe everything from circuit board fabrication to chassis/enclosure fabrication.. Makes me want to purchase a proxxon mini milling machine or at least make a tool holder to attach this tool to cnc engraving machine . Good tool
I haven't used it much since I received it but it seems to have sufficient power and it didn't get hot like a Dremel. At first, it looked a little clumsy but that wasn't the case while using it. In fact, the square shape may have been a benefit. Really about the only thing bad I can say about it at this point is the cheap decal on the speed control wasn't glued down flat. It will be interesting to see how it performs with heavy usage.I haven't used it much since I received it but it seems to have sufficient power and it didn't get hot like a Dremel.
