    Ah Bene!

    These days I cook from a book (Cucina Fiorentina) that I picked off a bookstore table in Florence in 1980. So when I ordered this book I was kind of expecting more of the same. But. . . . big surprise! These recipes are taken from a really great restaurant near Los Angeles. The elegance and style of the place really comes to life in the book. And the proud owners were nice enough to include pictures of their staff (a very respectful touch IMHO). And the food. . . . Amazing! Two recommendations. One a forward by William Shattner (Star Trek, of course) and another the final pic showing the chocolate dessert plate wiped clean. Obviously the ending to a wonderful meal. You can only wish the Italian partners well with their newest endeavors, and truly, anyone who loves Italian food ...

    Great Recipes from the Tuscans...

    I actually have not made anything from the cookbook but after eating at his restaurant on a few occasions when I was in Moorpark, CA I am very optimistic that whatever recipe my husband follows is going to be wonderful as he was very impressed by the book.
