    A charmer...

    This story is different from any you have seen or read on the origins of Santa Claus and Christmas. It's got rich characterization, a nicely detailed plot, good animation for its time, and those generous doses of magical/supernatural elements which make all good Christmas stories glow with their own light. Having read the Frank Baum novel this film is based on (he's the author of the Wizard of Oz series), I got this film for my daughter when she was 7 or 8. Every year, it was the first film she would begin her Christmas season viewing with, always before Rudolph and Frosty and all the other classics. When she hit her teen years, she was all about "Elf," and "The Santa Clause," and "The Christmas Story," but here's a true fact -- this last Christmas 2015, at the age of 20, she drags ...

    Love it!

    I watched this when I was younger and it would be on Cartoon Network every year and then they stopped showing it. Now that I have a son, I tried finding it online and then found it for sale and was thrilled!!! Mmm now I have it at home and have made it a tradition to watch it with my baby every year until he doesn't want to lol. Thank you for this wonderful, magical film!!

    Loved it. It is my favorite Christmas movie ever.

    The most pagan Santa. It's got gods, changelings/pixies, fairies, and all. When they say Santa is magic this movie doesn't make light of it. Love this movie because it is sweet as any other Christmas movie but also takes the concept of good will, giving, and most of all it focuses on being about the kids and giving them that sense of wonder and happiness. Amazing movie. Cute as a button. Lovely animation style. Well worth watching.
