    Hits & Misses

Some of the 50 are awesome, some silent (which actually was more ok than I thought they would be, some aren’t horror at all, and some are just plain terrible. But hey you’re getting 50 movies for a great price! So all in all it was well worth the money, and some Ill be watching over and over again.

Good time burner if you're waiting for paint to dry!

There are some really good movies in this collection (4), and also some really bad ones. Overall if you're stuck inside in a snow storm, it will keep you occupied for a while. Worse comes to worse, look at it as a coaster collection!

  • Horror Classics

I am very impressed with the collection of DVDs. As a fan of classic and hard-to-find horror films, this collection is a treat. Including "Night of the Living Dead" and "Nosfuratu" shows the collaborators knew what they were doing and it was also a treat to see such staple films such as "Metropolis" "Dementia 13" and Chaney's "Phantom of the Opera" all the while including campy films like "Little Shop of Horrors" "The Killer Shrews". The only setback is not including the landmark films "Frankenstein" and "The Wolf Man." But nevertheless you added the hidden gems that make us horror fanatics smile. We run to our books to read what historians had said, intriguing us to discover a new film or remind ...

  • Not all horror. Maybe Horror Mystery is better.

Wow! I never knew there were this many B-horror/mystery that I had never seen before. Why were they showing all that late night garbage on tv when I was a kid when things like this were out there? Or were they not available then? The silent Dr. Jekyl and Mr.Hyde with John Barrymore is the best version I have ever seen. There are a couple of pre-code movies in this pack that have some quick glimpses of nudity, "Metropolis" and "Maniac". There is one comedy/mystery with the Ritz brothers. Several of Bela Lugosi and Boris Karloff's lesser films that are still very enjoyable. Two Vincent Price movies that are both very good. A couple with Lionel Atwood, some Fay Wray and some J. Carrol Naish. I prefer the pre-50's films but that just may be me. Then there are some George Zucco films ...

  • Horror classics 50 movie pack

I like thesee kind of old shows, some are good, others not to good, but it is fun to look in the past at the specials effects they had at the time, the costumes, hair style...stuff like that. It seems like all the girls were like today, skinny as a rail. I like Bela legosi, Boris Karloff, they were big stars in there time. We can't just forget them, they set the stage for the horror movies we have today. They did the best with what they had at the time, it just shows that even back 70-80 years ago, there were spooks in the imagination to be made brought to life on the big screen. They may seem tame to todays standards, but I still enjoy them, with a limited small budget, these movies were made. I am glad I got the set.
