    ignore the critics. listen 1st!

    just because you find one or two songs by an artist that are incredibly good and you start looking for more of the same, buyer beware. don't trust the critics or the groupies on their fan page. listen first! this disc has a 5-star rating and it basically sucks. you'd think i'd have learned by now. . . but great new stuff (musically) is so increasingly rare anymore, and a 5 dollar disc with free shipping on ebay is hard to say no to. besides, occasionally i get lucky.

    No one like Lucinda, Awesome

    Lucinda is the greatest. She lays her soul down on paper when writing a song. When she sings with that dry, scratchy, heartfelt, voice you know she's not kidding.Can't top Car Wheels but that was her classic I believe. this one perhaps alittle better than some of her other recent work.More telling maybe. many great ballads and yet it still rocks.

    Quite good, but . . .

    I have all of Lucinda's CDs, and this one is quite good. Wish she'd lighten up a bit, though. The songs on this album, for the most part, are slow and reflective. I'd like to hear her light up the studio on a couple of numbers. Come on, Lucinda--I want my joy back! (Please?)
