After the Harvest
I bought this movie for a movie group I am in and it was to be the next movie to be discussed. The movie is about one man's obsession with the land and the devastation it brings to his family, a young female school teacher and all those around him. The movie is very depressing in how this family is overshadowed and beaten down by this controlling, overbearing man. Thank God that in the end the family comes into it's own and walks away from him and the land. A very strong movie that I found very moving with a very satisfying end. I would give it and excellent rating.I bought this movie for a movie group I am in and it was to be the next movie to be discussed.
