    Ford E4OD Transmission Shift Solenoid 1989-1994 E9TZ-7G391-A; The part came in on time, however it did not solve my problem. It actually created a new problem; shaking and stalling at a stop sign. The rebuilt shift solenoid is probably fine, the transmission has 141,000 miles on it since a rebuild at 160K. No transmission shop in my area will touch it since it is an E4OD and pre 1996 and OBD1. I don't know if it is the wiring or what. I'll probably put the old unit back in at some point.

    Solenoid pack did not fix our problem

    We were/are not sure of the fix for our truck. While driving, It occasionally slips out of gear into natural then back into gear with a "slam". It seemed like the solenoid pack may be the answer. Unfortunately it was not. The truck has the same problem after changing it out. The good news is that it now as clean transmission fluid, a new filter and we know that the solenoid pack was not the source of the problem. One more thing eliminated.

    Came quickly with free shipping, packaged nice, and has two year warranty. They claim it was dyno tested before leaving the shop and I have no reason to doubt because it was clean and is performing good.

    New or Rebuilt?

    Transmission now works like new again. Hard Shifting problem solved. The Solenoid is in a box marked Ford but I believe they are Factory Rebuilds though (by Ford). I would purchase again if needed.
