Great replacement pump for my ancient MTD splitter.
My 20+ year old vertical splitter developed a leak at the input shaft. I looked up the OEM pump and was shocked to see that it cost more than I had paid for the splitter when I bought it new all those years ago. After finding the specs were the same for this one I bought it and couldn't be more pleased. There are a few things to note however. The old pump had a 7/16 shaft and this one is 1/2 inch. Also the high pressure connector was different. I wish I had ordered a 1/2 male IPT 45 degree by 1/2 JIC connector as all I could find locally was a straight one. I was able to buy a new drive coupling locally. Be sure to buy the key for the shaft when you get the coupling as they too could differ. Make sure you measure these on your old pump and and plan accordingly and it is a simple ... My 20+ year old vertical splitter developed a leak at the input shaft. installed the pump with minor changes when i uesd it was stalling motor i lowered the preasure after a hr i raised the preasure where it was ok now put it on a powerhorse 2 way 20 ton splitter
