"A thoughtful, fearlessly low-key novel about the role of our species on the planet . . . laid out for us with an originality and a clarity that few would deny."- The New York Times Book Review "[Quinn entraps] us in the dialogue itself, in the sweet and terrible lucidity of Ishmael's analysis of the human condition. . . . Great book. Have bought many copies for friends and family members. Definitely a recommended read.

The computer is prompting me to tell you what an awesome sauce this is which I find hysterical. This is of course not a sauce. The book however is wonderful. I read this before many years ago and ordered for a re-read. Content is just as revelant now and maybe more so in view of our current Global situation. I have bought copies of this book for my friends and family members in the past. Would recommend this to anyone.

    • Mind opening

I have read this 3 times and each time I’ve gotten something new from it. I have really challenged previous beliefs about organized religion based on some of the thought-provoking concepts presented in this enlightening book.
