About this product

Product Information

In the mystifying opening sequence of BALLISTIC: ECKS VS. SEVER, a double kidnapping takes place on a rainy night in Vancouver with a minimal amount of wasted time and a maximum amount of violence. A little boy is picked up at the airport by his mother (Talisa Soto), whose car is stopped minutes later by thugs who steal the boy and say they're taking him to his father. Rounding the corner, the thugs see a car explode in front of them, and a dump truck smashes into a wall of other cars, spraying fire. A hooded martial arts expert takes out the thugs with some impressive kicks and swirls, then grabs the boy and leaves. Secret agent Sever (Lucy Liu) is the kidnapper here, an angry, heavily armed nut who literally goes ballistic for unknown reasons. Using automatic weapons and other highly explosive artillery, she annihilates at least a hundred policeman in the next scene, outside a shopping mall. A retired secret agent, Ecks (Antonio Banderas), is the only man who can stop her, and when he does--temporarily--the two join forces against the real culprit, Robert Gant (Gregg Henry). Gant has crafted a dangerous assassination weapon that triggers death at the push of a button once it is injected into its victim's bloodstream. And that weapon is living inside the little boy. To save him, and stop the weapon from being used again, Ecks and Sever must get Gant. BALLISTIC: ECKS VS. SEVER is a super-violent nonstop action extravaganza with a high-octane musical score by Don Davis. It is directed by Kaos.

  • Awesome action and a super cast!

Awesome action picture! Banderas as the quiet but don't rub me the wrong way or else in one the star roles explodes across with maybe the most beautiful Lucy Liu roles.(In real life it was Baneras who had the producers cast Liu for the role opposite him). If you like action, fire, crashes, and total mayhem then you will love this film.Talisa Soto also graces our eyes in this film as well. Gregg Henery is possibly one of the best bad guys of the decade!

  • I Liked Ecks Vs. Sever!

Ballistic: Ecks Vs. Sever was full of action, great fight scenes, explosions and a nice plot. A lot of people say this movie is idiotic but I beg to differ. Anything that has Antonio, Lucy and Talio in it, is a good movie to me. But hey, different strokes for different folks. Antonio Banderas is F.B.I. agent Jeremy Ecks, who is after a Defense Intelligent Agent Lucy Liu, and they have one thing in common - the agency traitor Robert Gant, who betrayed them both. There's the ultimate technology, a nanobot, that can be used to kill people, by remote. And Ecks who believes his wife is dead and vice-a-versa. I have seen worst movies and this isn't one of them. I liked this movie and recommend it.

  • Great Action Flick with Liu and Banderas!

This action movie used a simple formula for success: Action+Alpha Female+Intrigue+Good vs. Evil+Positive Ending= Great Action Flick. Lucy Liu and Antonio Banderas work well together in this film, yet each holds their own in their respective character roles. The plot is simple, yet offers enough tension, sarcasm, intrigue, and alpha female fighting sequences to add both substance and interest to the characters and the developing plot. The ending is positive -- a nice change -- without being sappy. I actually stopped folding clothes to sit down to watch this one -- a greater endorsement than one would guess! Ah -- and the crude language and sexual content were nil -- a major achievement!!! What a fresh change to find a plot-driven movie which didn't need to litter the visuals with ...

  • ballistic: ecks vs. sever

this movie had a lot of action and was a good story behind it in my opinion. the fight scenes as well as the gun scenes were all good . the story was about trust and with a sweet taste of revenge best served cold.the twist of it all was basic but still a good concept. even though i didnt see it in the movies but heard about it through some friends it still all and all was a good movie.i would reccomend this to anyone who has a taste for action and gun play with a underground plot.this movie in my opinion is a good buy.
