About this product

Product Information

Dive into the experience of wrangling a largemouth bass from lake to boat and become a bona fide member of the Fisherman's Bass Club by mastering the myriad skills, lures, and techniques offered in Agetec's 3D fishing simulation. Novice fishermen can reel in the lessons provided by the tutorial and build skills up to the expert levels needed to compete in ten tournaments featuring prizes for largest catch, most fish, and heaviest catch. Fishing sites include watery terrain surrounding a ruined building, a boat dock, under a bridge, near a pier, and around a submerged house.

Tournaments range in difficulty and include beginner, two specials, amateur, intermediate, professional, veteran, top pro, master, and final. The target fish (e.g., black bass, largemouth) varies in each, but the parameters vary by time, clearing requirement (weight), and goal. Ten lures are initially available, including poppers, minnows, cranks, worms, and jigs, and another ten can be unlocked by gaining experience and improving results and skills. A free mode allows casual fishermen to select the time of day and weather conditions, and practice methods learned during the tutorial.

An optional vibration function can be used in conjunction with the Fish Energy Meter and Tension Gauge to help build winning techniques. Game controls feature use of the DualShock analog controller as well as Agetec's proprietary Bass Landing controller (not included with this game). Techniques can be studied further through the use of a unique underwater perspective during actual battles with the bass. Fisherman's Bass Club for the PS2 is developer Vingt-et-un Systems' second fishing title; their first, Action Bass, was released for the PlayStation two years previously.

  • Perfect for Relaxation fishing

While this game has tons of features and options, and in my opinion is more fun than many fishing games on a Newer system, it's not perfect. But it is however, a great game to chill out and play when you are stressed and looking to relax. i Recommend it.

  • Gone Fishing

I have read some bad reviews on this game, and it makes me wonder, what were these people expecting? Honestly, I found myself enjoying this game. There are challenges, and tournements, to clear, and yes, smetimes the fish are hard to bring in, but thats the challenge. I can only find two thing I would change , one is that you can't change your line, the other is that you can't but a bober on you line to suspent your worm. Other then that, I ejoy the game, it takes me out fishing when I can't actually get there.

  • Fisherman's Bass Club (Awesome)!

I really like this game because of the realistic sceneries! The game sucks you in as soon as you see the first lake to fish in. What I like about this game more than any other fishing game is that it let's you fish with artificial crawdad and it really let's you catch big bass. It seems to attract those big bass. So therefore, I recommend using crawdad bait. Hope this review helps people to purchase this game and to know that it is definitely worth the money!

  • Fishermans Bass Club PS2

I received this game as a gift. The game was too easy and there is no challenge to the game. The graphics were not all that great. The game needs work on the graphics to make it more realistic. Being a fisherman, it would make a lot more fishermen purchase the game with better graphics, and a challenge to the game. Someone needs to come up with a freshwater/saltwater combo-- 2 in 1 game with different varieties of fish and locations/landscapes/fishing spots--fresh and salt water!!

  • Easy to catch, but boating is a different story

My first fishing game so not much to compare after 2hrs of fishing. Limited selection of area to fish, could use a practice mode to master gears, tutorial is a just a manual. wish I could change my lines as I keep losing the big bass when they go straight away from me, maybe theres a trick or I need a joystick. Nothing beats fishing though. 10 min goes by quick. Not bad for a start.
