      Gold standard

      Scotch Book Tape is the gold standard for book repair. Don't think you can get away with using cheap packing tape. Scotch Book Tape won't yellow, fade, or lose its adhesive over time.

      Lightweight, Super-strong tape

      This is the strongest tape that I've ever used. Having retired after working thirty + years in maintenance in the local schools, I've used this product many, many times. I've used this tape for every conceivable repair from books to boilers.. It ALWAYS holds and never loosens. Four years ago the shelf in my refrigerator door broke. The replacement part would cost nearly $50, well outside my budget. I taped it with 3M #845 Bookbinding tape...It's invisible, strong, and still holding my refrigerator together. Recently, a second door shelf broke. Guess what? I bought another roll of this tape to make the repair!

      Book Tape

      Good tape for book binding and adhering plastic covers. I only wish you could buy the stuff 35 years ago. The plastic book covers were like a library trade secret and the general public couldn't buy them for some reason. Librarians looked at me like i was crazy when I asked if I could buy one of their rolls of plastic to cover my dust jackets.

      Not as sticky as wanted

      This is better than packaging tape for holding the cover back on my wife's high school issued Betty Crocker cookbook, but doesn't hold as well as expected.
