    Great Model but it has a Weight Problem

    This is a fine entry level Sound and DCC locomotive. It is smooth and the sound effects work as described. The paint job is very good. That being said it has a major flaw regarding it's weight; it is too light. Pulling a 6 foot long line of rail cars it stalls and spins it's wheels over a slight grade. Even my 40 year old Athearn little switch engine doesn't have an issue. My 40 year old converted Athearn GP-38's make this new model look pretty bad in that dept. If your layout is perfectly flat you shouldn't have a problem but if you have a layout with grade changes and bridges, etc. this engine will not make the "grade".

    Does it all DC, DCC, DCS

    Running in standard dc for now, love all the automatic sounds it makes. Working on DCS system so i can unlock tge full potential it has ! It will also operate on DCC as an extra bonus!
