The Escaflowne series follows the exploits of a young schoolgirl, Hitomi Konzaki, who is an ordinary enough high school student until a column of light transports Hitomi to a strange world called Gaea. Hitomi aligns herself with a young knight named Van, who she saw in a vision prior to being transported, and they begin a perilous journey with Escaflowne, the legendary god of protection. In these episodes, Hitomi, though she can see the future, somehow fell off a cliff and was saved from her plummet to certain death by an angel she had seen in visions. Meanwhile, the Dragon Slayers are still after Van's Escaflowne. Available in edited (as seen on the Fox Kids Network) and unedited versions.
