  • Great title

I bought this book to simply find out who Bobby Garwood is and to find out exactly what he did. The best part of the book is that when you finish it, you feel like you've really spent 14 or more years right beside Mr. Garwood. It gives details of his homelife growing up for background purposes. It is very detailed about his capture in Vietnam. I really liked to be able to see what it might have been like to be a P.O.W. A lot of the days spent in the camps are written out very descriptively along with conversations with other P.O.W.'s. His coming home is also explained in great detail since it was written right after his court trials. It is a shocking read and I found myself very disturbed at his entire life. It's obvious that the simple fact that he came home was a great embarassment ...
