Notes
Limited 180 gram vinyl LP pressing. The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars is the fifth studio album by David Bowie, which is loosely based on a story of a fictional rock star named Ziggy Stardust. The album tells the story of Ziggy, a rock star who acts as a messenger for extraterrestrial beings. The album, and the character of Ziggy Stardust, was known for it's glam rock influences and themes of sexual exploration and social commentary. These factors, coupled with the ambiguity surrounding Bowie's sexuality and fuelled by a ground-breaking performance of "Starman" on Top of the Pops led to the album being met with controversy and since hailed as a seminal work. The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars has been consistently considered one of the greatest albums of all time, with Rolling Stone magazine ranking it the 35th greatest ever.

    Amazing

It sounds great! It’s well packaged and it arrived rather quickly, it’s the best price I found on eBay and I went for it considering I’m a very skeptical person but this was exactly what I wanted, 180gram remastered vinyl that sounds great to me.

  • Remastered and sounding better than ever!

What is there to say? This is one of the quintessential Bowie albums. This remastered version on 180 gram vinyl sounds wonderful and there is something special about listening to it as Bowie intended. Side one vs. Side two. I've been looking for this album for awhile but was waiting for a remastered version. This does not disappoint. Remember Bowie didn't die he just went back to his own planet. Let the children lose it Let the children use it Let all the children boogie....

  • Should be in most peoples collection, I know there are people that don't like it.

This is a classic that is one of the best albums (in my personal opinion) ever, I sure that there are a lot of people that will disagree. It should be played very loud. I have the cd, dvd (concert, poor quality), cassette and now the album. Have worn out the cassette.

  • Amazing album. I miss Bowie.

From Five Stars to Rock n' Roll Suicide, this is a great album. Bowie is always a solid choice for a vinyl collection.
